Büros und Großraumbüros effektiv zu heizen stellt viele Arbeitgeber vor eine herausfordernde Aufgabe. Schließlich dürfen die Mitarbeiter nicht frieren, doch die Heizkosten sollten natürlich trotzdem nicht durch die Decke gehen.
Tatsächlich lassen sich diese beiden Aspekte mit ein paar Maßnahmen jedoch gut vereinen. Wer beim Heizen nämlich bewusst vorgeht und das Heizsystem einmal genau unter die Lupe nimmt, kann das Büro sowohl effizient als auch auf angenehme Weise erwärmen.
Das ist die ideale Bürotemperatur
Wärmeempfinden ist etwas sehr Individuelles. Was für den einen noch eine angenehme Temperatur darstellt, bringt den anderen vielleicht schon zum Frieren. Gerade in Großraumbüros kann diese Tatsache im Winter schon einmal Konflikte mit sich bringen. Dabei hat die Raumtemperatur erheblichen Einfluss auf die Produktivität. Für die Konzentrations- und Leistungsfähigkeit der Mitarbeiter ist es also wichtig, dass sie im Büro weder frieren noch schwitzen.
Die ideale Raumtemperatur in Büros beträgt daher etwa 20 bis 22 Grad, während die Luftfeuchtigkeit immer zwischen 40 und 60 Prozent liegen sollte. In der Praxis gibt es verschiedene Möglichkeiten, dieses Ideal zu erreichen.
Thermostat zur Regulierung der Raumtemperatur
Um sicher zu gehen, dass die Energiekosten nicht zu hoch sind, lohnt sich die Installation eines Thermostats. Damit kann die Temperatur in jedem einzelnen Raum so reguliert werden, wie sie für die jeweilige Tätigkeit angemessen ist. Während Bad oder Abstellraum normalerweise mit einem etwas niedrigeren Wärmegrad auskommen, können die Arbeitsräume konstant angenehm warmgehalten werden.
Dank der verschiedenen Funktionen des Thermostats kann zudem eingestellt werden, dass die Temperatur über Nacht ein wenig gedrosselt wird und am nächsten Morgen automatisch wieder steigt, sobald die ersten Mitarbeiter eintreffen. Bereits ein paar Grad auf oder ab machen auf der Stromrechnung nämlich einen großen Unterschied. Daher macht es sich durchaus bewährt, das Büro in der Nacht um 4-5 Grad weniger zu beheizen als tagsüber. Aber: Selbst Räume, die weniger beheizt werden, sollten niemals komplett auskühlen. Denn für die Heizung kostet es wesentlich mehr Energie, einen kalten Raum neu aufzuheizen als auf niedriger Temperatur durchzulaufen.
Strahlungswärme als Lösung für die Übergangszeit
Gerade in der Übergangszeit ist es oft schwer, sich darüber einig zu werden, ob nun geheizt werden soll oder nicht. Meist lohnt es sich aufgrund der langen Vorlaufzeit nicht, ein herkömmliches Heizungssystem ganz aufheizen zu lassen. Das Heizen mit Infrarotwärme könnte gerade in dieser Zeit entscheidende Vorteile gegenüber herkömmlichen Konvektionsheizungen bieten.
Gezielt günstig heizen mit einer Infrarotheizung
Dank ihrer geringen Vorlaufzeit können Infrarotheizungen ganz gezielt dann eingesetzt werden, wenn sie benötigt werden. Eine Infrarotheizung erwärmt nämlich nicht die Raumluft, sondern gibt Strahlungswärme ab, die von der Umgebung direkt absorbiert wird. Wer möchte, kann dadurch sogar nur bestimmte Bereiche im Büro erwärmen, sodass besonders kosteneffizient geheizt werden kann.
Längere, angenehmere Wärme
Infrarotwärme wird im Vergleich zu Konvektionswärme als angenehmer wahrgenommen und häufig mit der Empfindung von Sonnenlicht in Verbindung gebracht. Zudem hält das Wärmeempfinden auch lange an, weil die Strahlen einer Infrarotheizung besonders tief in den Körper eindringen und dort auch länger gespeichert werden. Dadurch fühlt sich die Umgebungstemperatur etwas wärmer an, als sie es tatsächlich ist. Faktisch kommt man dann im Büro dadurch mit weniger Grad Celsius aus, hat aber trotzdem nicht zu kalt.
Gut isolieren und die Heizung optimal platzieren
Damit das Bürogebäude auch wirklich warm wird, ist es wichtig, dass die Heizung ihren Job machen kann. Sind beispielsweise Türen und Fenster nicht ordnungsgemäß isoliert, entweicht kostbare Wärme und der Heizkörper muss gleich um einiges mehr leisten. Ähnlich kontraproduktiv ist es, wenn die Heizung von großen Kästen, Schreibtischen oder Ähnlichem blockiert wird. In dem Fall kann es passieren, dass die Wärme nicht wirklich in den Raum abgegeben werden kann und so von den Mitarbeitern kaum spürbar ist.
Der richtige Platz für die Heizung sollte also so gewählt werden, dass sie möglichst frei steht. Werden undichte Fenster oder Türen bemerkt, können im Baumarkt Materialien wie Dichtungsbänder oder Fensterfolien gekauft und an den jeweiligen Stellen angebracht werden. Auf diese Weise wird verhindert, dass im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes zum Fenster hinaus geheizt wird. Am effizientesten ist jedoch sicherlich, gleich das ganze Fenster austauschen zu lassen.
Richtig heizen und lüften: Ein paar Tipps
Sind erst einmal die Grundvoraussetzungen geklärt, können die Heizkosten mit einigen Maßnahmen noch einmal gesenkt und die Arbeitsbedingungen im Büro weiter verbessert werden. Hier sind noch ein paar abschließende Tipps, wie das am besten gelingt.
- Ein hydraulischer Abgleich kann den Heizungsbetrieb optimieren und dafür sorgen, dass sich die Wärme im gesamten Bürogebäude optimal verteilt. Dazu sollte aber vorher auf jeden Fall erst ein Fachmann zu Rate gezogen werden.
- Regelmäßiges Lüften ist gerade in Büros wesentlich für die Luftqualität im Raum. Gekippte Fenster sind aber ungünstig, da sie für zu wenig Luftaustausch sorgen und stattdessen bestimmte Teile des Raums zu sehr auskühlen. Die Heizung muss dann auf Hochtouren laufen, um den Temperaturunterschied auszugleichen. Ein kurzes Stoßlüften ist dagegen viel sinnvoller.
- Als zusätzliche Isolation ist es empfehlenswert, Rollläden oder Vorhänge über Nacht zu schließen. So wird sichergestellt, dass kalte Luft draußen bleibt, während die warme Luft nicht so leicht entweichen kann.
